Well, this was our 1st, but it won't be our last visit. We only popped into Nottingham and it happened to be lunch time. So we decided to try Josephine's. We had a really lovely warm welcome, it was busy but the lady at reception said to give it a minute and she will try and get us a table. We got a table within a couple of minutes. It was very busy (which is a sign in itself). We had a lovely young lady take our order and I had THE BEST fish finger brioche EVER. White soft cod, in a crisp crumb, in the fluffiest of brioche subs, with crushed peas and tarter sauce. Yummy Honestly the best I've ever had. My coffee was hot, creamy and smooth (and I'm fussy with coffee) It's always too strong or not hot enough, but this was perfect for me. Hubby had a coke and a chicken ciabatta. Delicious food, great atmosphere and lovely staff. I absolutely can't understand anyone giving this place anything less than 5 stars. We can't wait to come back We are definitely going to book for an afternoon tea, someone had it whilst we were there and it looked amazing. Huge admiration for the owner, as a business owner myself it's not an easy job. I think you do an amazing job replying to all your reviews (even the ridiculous ones) We will be back Thank you Salena-Jo and John

Took my mum for a belated mother's day/birthday gift and we loved it. We had an afternoon tea each and my partner has a cheesy tea which was cheese and bacon scone with a cake and coffee. Recommend to come for an afternoon tea as the food was tasty and presented really well.

Highly recommended for a birthday lunch! We visited for a birthday afternoon tea, and arrived to friendly staff who had decorated the table with birthday confetti and left a little gift. The afternoon tea was well explained to us by the staff and the accommodation for dietary requirements were great. Everything we ate was fresh and flavourful, as well as beautifully presented. The choice of teas is amazing and beats having just normal black tea with your scones. The restaurant is clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. Although more expensive than other afternoon teas, it does feel like a treat for a special occasion and for what is included it is quite well priced.

Very quirky and atmospheric place. Highly decorated interior. Staff were attentive and very smartly dressed in uniform. Had a real quality feel. Tea was loose leaf and served in fine bone China cups and was very good. Full English breakfast was excellent. Pancakes were the thick and fluffy kind. Prices were reasonable too. I would recommend.

Spent a lovely valentine afternoon here with my friend! Ordered a halal luxury afternoon tea set which was sooo delicious! The scones especially were heavenly, and we adored them. Would come back just for those. The macaron as well was really good. Only complaint would be the first tea we tried - mango tango, which did not tango and did not taste very mango. However, service was spectacular and every other tea after was spot on. I'd recommend caramel dream and masala chai!

This cute little restaurant does not disappoint. The decor is exquisite and there's always something to feast your eyes on. My first visit here with my girlfriends before going to the theatre is a fantastic little pit stop. The food was lovely and is accommodating for anyone with allergies or intolerances. The staff are friendly and attribute to the atmosphere and they let us know that if you show your tickets for the theatre you get a lovely discount. Thank you to the lovely lady that served us and to Caleb also. I'll definitely return.

I took my daughters along for their first High Tea on mothers’ day, and it was just wonderful. The atmosphere was lovely; warm and welcoming, and intimate without being crowded. The decorations inside were beautiful and the table was fabulously presented. The staff were just wonderful - honestly so friendly and helpful. Requests, allergies and dietary restrictions - all were catered for without difficulty and with a smile. We are all vegetarian, I can’t eat oranges and of course none of us were drinking. The vegetarian food was delicious - honestly I didn’t feel like we were missing out at all. The food was absolutely delicious, with a stunning selection of cakes and perfectly presented finger-food sandwiches. If you want to go somewhere special, I would recommend Josephine’s without hesitation.
